The floodwaters have also contaminated water sources, putting communities at risk of waterborne diseases. Families have been displaced, and they have been left without access to necessities like food, water, and shelter.
The death toll from devastating floods in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province has jumped to 315, with 1,630 injured. The floods have affected more than 25,000 families and damaged nearly 1,000 houses.
