Economic Empowerment for a Self-Sufficient Future
The upper hand is better than the lower hand. The upper hand is that of the giver and the lower hand is that of the beggar.”’ Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Welcome to Afghan Relief’s Economic Empowerment Programs
At Afghan Relief, we believe in not just providing aid but empowering individuals for lifelong self-reliance. Economic empowerment is crucial in this regard. Inspired by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we aim to equip the people of Afghanistan, particularly widows, orphans, and women, with the tools they need to support themselves and contribute to their communities
The Economic Landscape in Afghanistan: Some Facts
**Over 50% unemployment rate**:
Economic opportunities are scarce.
**Women and widows are particularly vulnerable**: Due to cultural and social restrictions, their economic participation is limited.
**Orphans often become breadwinners at a young age**: This prevents them from acquiring education and skills.
Why Economic Empowerment?
Following the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that encourages self-reliance over dependency, our programs are designed to help individuals become contributors to their families and communities.
