On 15th and 16th July, heavy windstorms, severe rainfall and flash floods struck multiple districts of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Panjshir, Kapisa, and Kabul provinces in Eastern and Northeastern Afghanistan.

Lives Lost and Injured: The floods have tragically claimed the lives of over 45+ people and injured more than 350+.
Communities Devastated: Provinces like Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Panjshir, Kapisa, and Kabul have been severely affected, with 500+ of families displaced and their homes destroyed.
Critical Infrastructure Damaged: In addition to homes, the floods have caused significant damage to a community health center and refugee housing units, further hindering access to essential services for those in need.
